Blessed to have another amazing year. As 2023 comes to an end, I'd like to highlight one more amazing event we put together in the fall. Albany Smart Connect, was an event hosted by myself, Aaron Miller and Victor Huang to bring together a group of likeminded professionals who are interested in Real Estate Development, Wealth Management and Estate/Legacy Planning. I had the privilege of sharing some of my knowledge on Estate Planning and Wealth Management. I'd like to give a special shout-out to Joshua Abaki for setting up a great lunch and learn session with the black lawyers at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG).As I've mentioned before, most of our parents did not teach us about money, nor did the educational system. Once we become adults, we’re left to figure things out on our own. The lack of financial literacy disproportionally impacts the black community, and I’ve made it one of my missions during my 14 years with RBC to share my knowledge and educate.Thank you, Joshua, for your leadership and I look forward to future sessions in the new year. #financialliteracy #wealthmanagement #lawyers

Around 2.2 million, or 45% of all outstanding mortgages, will see higher interest rates in the next two years, according to aCanada Mortgage and Housing Corp. analyst. Latest CMHC data shows more than 290,000 Canadians renewed their mortgages with a chartered bank in the first half of 2023 at “significantly higher” interest rates, leading to financial strain. Had a very busy #october, and one of the events I'm very proud of being a part of was a financial literacy seminar at Black at Blakes.
