By the way I can't seem to be able to use the shadow diamonds for the storage heart. i had to use regular diamonds instead. also will you add a feature to be able to name our storage hearts? I know it kinda defeats the point of having 1 big storage place but I don't know, it doesn't really matter about it im just wondering

The crafting Module isn't ready, it's only obtainable with CheatSheet, and doesn't work yet. People still try, though, lol

Found a bug. After beating the Ragnarök in Thorium Mod the Magic Storage system was not usable anymore. The interface isnt opening and u somehow equip some kind of armor while rightclicking it. After disabling the Thorium Mod the bug was still present. Even after disabling every other mod other than magic storage the bug didnt go away so if you could somehow fix this that would be nice.

2. Do you have a remote access somewhere?

1. I am playing on a server with a friend
2. Yes, we are using a remote access but we also tried the normal storage access and that didnt work aswell.
And we are using the latest version of the mod.

Anything that uses Diamonds has the recipe set to "Any Diamond", meaning anything classified as a Diamond (Like Diamonds, Shadow Diamonds, and some gems from Legend of Terraria 3) can be used.

i put it in the crafting and it didnt work. i had to use normal diamonds though.

If you give it to the Guide or put it in the Recipe Browser, it will not show Shadow Diamonds. You can still use them in any Storage items involving Diamonds.

Hmm, try removing the Remote Access and see if that makes everything work.

That's pretty odd, since I'm able to craft things out of Shadow Diamonds.

I apologize if this has been asked before (I couldn't find it at least). Is the item limit of a storage unit actually items, stacks, or something else?

Some background: I have a mega-modded world that I've been playing for a while on my other computer (my laptop which has this installed is a less-modded thing and having issues so I can't really check to confirm), and I'm debating on whether or not to include this mod. On one hand, I've got more items and chests than I know what to do with. Seriously, I have so many chests that by walking from one side of the "chest castle" to the other, the first side is unloaded. Almost ninety percent are entirely full. That said, I'm also really pushing the limit Terraria can handle for mods, any more and I may run into more issues on my only working installation of the game, so I want to be sure if this will totally solve my storage issues.
So, according to your content tab, a Terra storage unit stores 640 items. My question is: is that 640 ITEM TYPES, 640 STACKS or 640 ITEMS? And if it's the first, does that mean I could store a hundred thousand arrows and only take up one slot? Applied Energistics (which I assume was the initial inspiration for this mod) answers that by having both stacks and item count defined in a storage cell (i.e. a 64x cell can store 64000 "bytes" (items) or 64 "types" (stacks), but not 65 stacks of 1 or 64001 items of one kind) and I'm kinda confused as to whether or not storing a single stack of arrows I've left in my inventory is going to completely fill a Terra storage unit or less than one slot (1000/640 or 1000/x, and 1/640 slots). If so, would it be possible to make an "infinite" storage unit come next update? Even if it's only accessible via cheat sheet or something, that'd be one "cheat" I'd be willing to compromise my rule on not using spawning for when I eventually make a new world/character.

Oh, and one other thing: when you come out with an infinite-range/portable access port, would it be possible to add an item that functions similarly to the /dev/null item in Open Blocks for minecraft? Something that you can put one item "into" which then stores up to a stack of that item before insta-storing (or insta-trashing if you don't have a storage system linked) any more of that item that you pick up? It'd be AMAZING for long mining trips, long statue grinding runs for items, or even just mass treasure bag opening. I have a mod that allows me to turn ancient armors into ore, and I use it with a statue grinding mod which I cant remember the name of that makes statue-spawned monsters drop their loot as normal. My world is crimson, and I'm trying to make a set of every armor in the game (modded and non), which includes corruption-specific ones. As such I've been turning ancient shadow scale sets into demonite ore and then armors using demonite (imksushi ore changing via tinker table is banned, though I did start a small corruption to get the relevant modded enemies to spawn), but my inventory gets filled way too fast with rotten chunks from the eater of souls statues. Also might come in handy for anyone trying to get a dev set via farming low-level bosses, just put one of each unwanted boss item in a /dev/null and have the only thing your treasure bags give be those sets. Or those disproportionately-infuriating Mud Men from Thorium.

It's stacks, 2 swords would ocupy more space than 999 arrows or something like that. Just think how a normal chest works, you can't put 2 swords in the same slot. As for the "infinite storage unit", there is a creative storage unit which allows infinite withdrawals of any item, but that's probably not what you want. I don't know if storing way too many items like that in a single entity could be done, but that's on Blue to touch on. And finally, /dev/null probably won't be a thing, because coming up we'll have a portable storage access, so you can manually put in any items from wherever you are.

I was having this same issue. I placed the remote access block half the map away and was able to access the system from there.

A short time after that (not sure if it was immediately or after logging in and out) trying to use the system from home would result in my character standing completely still and all vanity items not being visible (resulting in this armor change that has been reported), while the system interface wouldn't show up. All storage units would tell you their current capacity, but neither the heart nor the access block would function.

The solution as you suggested was removing the remote access block which seemed to fix it completely, I am running on a server with the Thorium, Calamity, Pumpking and reduced grinding mods installed on Tmodloader 0.9.2.3 if that helps. Let me know if you need other details!

By the way, amazing Mod, it's actually the best mod I have installed right now, it makes the whole game super super convenient to the point where I can't live without it now LOL. Thanks for your hard work!

Have you tried maybe making a new heart for the system? Like make a test section separate from your main system, put useless junk into it like wood, break the heart and then replace it and check if the test is good and the items are still in it. Then if that test is good back up your world and try replacing your main systems heart by breaking it and then replacing it. That is the only thing that I can think of. I didn't encounter this problem as I had not downloaded the mod until way later after I beat Ragnarök from the Thorium Mod.

Bug Report: Toggling Cosmetics

Recently while playing on server with friends we ran across a the problem of the storage heart and remote access toggling cosmetics. I was able to resolve the issue and hope that I may be able to provide assistance in location the source of the issue

Solution: removing a distant remote access point.

First a set up of the world
There was a single storage heart in the world and 3 remote access points.
The world was pre hardmode
Mods installed were.
tModLoader v0.9.2.3
Magic Storage v0.3.0.1
Helpful Hotkeys v1.5.3
Calamity v1.1.7.864
No Flare v1.0.3
Recipe Browser v0.1.2.6

This is the location to where the third one was. It would have been located directly above the safe. (In contact with the safe) Removing this one solved the issue

Second how the bug was discovered.
There were two people one the server. Me and B. B disconnected to get food. During his disconnection I built the rail accessible floating snow house and placed a remote access directly connecting to the top of the safe[image in the "setup" tab]. B then reconnected and when attempting to access the storage heart or the remote access located in the tower he toggled his cosmetics. It is important to note at this point the mod has been working fine for me. All access points correctly opened and were accessible. He then disconnected and attempted to reload the mods. This didn't help. I then restarted the server. After reconnecting I was unable to access either the tower remote access or the main heart, however when loaded into single player I had no problem accessing either storage location. I then went searching the thread for any similar reports.

Correcting the problem, sorta.
I found a post on here about how an access far away still worked. So I reloaded the server and went to the snow home. This storage worked while neither the heart or the remote near the heart worked. So in an attempt at problem solving I destroyed the remote access. I knew everything was accessible in single player so worse that could happen was I had to go there and pull everything into chests(I hoped.)This (without re connection) solved the issue. The heart and tower remote access were both fully accessible. B then reconnected and had no problem accessing storage.

Important thing to note.
I did not experience any problems until I disconnected and reconnected after having built the connection point. B experienced problems on connection after the new remote connection was created. As well, through out the problem being discovered and solved the farm access point was NEVER tested or opened. I have no knowledge on its responses
